  • Re-confirming some old news, DriveClub Design Director Paul Rustchynsky said the game’s still arriving in 2014 and “to be clear on microtransactions, DriveClub will of course offer content to purchase/download. But there will not be any ‘consumables’. ” Shuhei Yoshida then said that the DriveClub PS+ Edition is still happening. [Twitter 1, 2]
  • Provided you have patch 1.12 downloaded and installed, the Capture Creator is now available in Grand Theft Auto Online. [Source]
  • Wondering why Magic 2015 isn’t coming to the PS4 or PS3? Well, Wizards of the Coast doesn’t really have answer, with a PR rep only saying, “All the info I have is what’s included in the press release – including info about which platforms are available. We don’t have any other announcements planned at this time.” When asked if Microsoft had picked up publishing rights, they replied, “Wizards of the Coast is actually the publisher for the Duels games.” To sum up, we have no idea why Magic 2015 isn’t coming to PlayStation.   • EA is “working on finding a transition [for Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from GameSpy’s servers], but still have technical hurdles to overcome. We will make an announcement when there is news to share.” [Source]
  • In the May 2014 issue of Game Informer, it’s revealed that a Darth Maul project by developer Red Fly was in the works for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U before being cancelled on June 24th, 2011. [Via, Art, Video]
  • There have been concerns about Luftrausers, with people on Twitter saying they felt uncomfortable with some of the supposed Nazi imagery in the game. In a very long blog post, Rami Ismail explains their process in making the game, but basically, “From our perspective, we do not cast our player as a Nazi pilot.” [Source]
  • Roll7 is looking to release OlliOlli for the PS4, PS3, and PC on July 22nd. It’s not 100% confirmed right now, but it’s what they’re aiming for. [Source]

  • Having sold over 70 million games globally in the studios’ 30 years, Naughty Dog is teaming up with Dark Horse Comics to release The Art of Naughty Dog later this year. The book will span the history of Naughty Dog and feature hand-picked and never before released artwork depicting our past, present, and future. Select fan art will be a chapter of the book as well.   • After a last-minute delay, the PS1 Classic import Hyper Crazy Climber will be available on April 15th in North America on the PlayStation Store. It appears as though it will only be playable on PS3 and PS Vita, but not PSP. [Source]
