We woke up this morning to rumors that we really hope hold some truth. According to an anonymous tipster, Dishonored II: Darkness of Tyvia will be unveiled at Gamescom in August, and he supplied VG247 with the PlayStation 4 pre-order boxart that you can see below.
The estimated release date given is November 2015, and we’re told that the game is in development at Arkane Studios in Lyon, France, with Harvey Smith leading on the project. Dishonored II supposedly has a new protagonist, and reports say that Arkane was looking into the possibility of letting players take on the role of empress Emily Kaldwin. This means that the game might be set in a time period later than its predecessor.
Of course, we have to take this rumor with a grain of salt. Previous reports about the game coming to E3 were dispelled, and anyone could have come up with this box-art. However, do note that Bethesda has been talking about Dishonored becoming a franchise so you never know.
