Up to this day, Hideo Kojima has still not revealed when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be released. But could a recent post on a website leaked it up somehow?
Over on TheGuardian where a feature on the game was published, it was written in that MGSV: The Phantom Pain was set for release on March 17, 2015. While the site immediately pulled the date, it was not before Reddit user DustyRetina managed to grab a screen of it, which you can view below.
While this in itself could be an error, what’s odd here is how specific the date was. And over on NeoGAF, it posted what user “MGNLive” (who claims he knows someone from Konami) said that “MGO (Metal Gear Online) will come out BEFORE MGSV and MGSV is scheduled for Q4 2015.” Case in point, fiscal year for 2014 does include March, so this could be plausible.
We’ve reached out to Konami to see whether this rumor has any merit and will update the post if and when they’ve responded.
Make sure to check out the MGSV: The Phantom Pain 30-minute demo shown off at E3.
