This weekend is a big one in Vegas, with Sony hosting its own event called the PlayStation Experience, as well as The Game Awards being held the night before. Each event is reported to have a slew of reveals, so we thought it would be fun to dig into what we hope will come out of the announcements this weekend.

I wouldn’t say no to a megaton or two like a new God of War, a new Syphon Filter, or a new franchise altogether.
Aside from that, maybe a price and release window for Project Morpheus. I can’t see Sony blowing a lot of its load in the event, given E3 and other conventions always take precedence when it comes to these things. Prove me wrong, Sony!
Anthony Severino (@Sev_Anthony)
Part of me wants a sequel to The Last of Us, but then a huge part of me feels that story is complete enough, and I am afraid any sequel won’t live up to the original and detract from its legacy.
So in this case, all I really want is new IP. No inFamous. No God of War. No LittleBigPlanet. No Gran Turismo. What I want is a new IP on that caliber, that is the beginning of a new franchise for Sony.
Cameron Teague (@Cameron_PSLS)
What I want won’t ever happen, so it’s kind of disheartening. [Editor’s Note: Feel free to come up with wild theories as to what this may be.]

As it’s the 20th anniversary of PlayStation, I am kind of expecting, or rather hoping for, something classic to drum up those old memories. I can see Sony bringing back on old franchise and using this as the perfect opportunity to do it. I do think The Game Awards will be more third party stuff, as Sony will want to save its big hitters for its own show.
Otherwise, I agree with Anthony. Again, with this being the 20th anniversary, what a perfect time to announce a huge caliber new IP that will become an amazing new franchise and go down in history with the PlayStation legacy.
D’yani Wood (@Dyani)
I want some sort of big, amazing, maybe nostalgic, AAA PlayStation exclusive title. Is that so much to ask for?!?
Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)
I know this is something people have been asking for for a long time, but I want a new Valkyria Chronicles on the PS4.
Heath Hindman (@TheHeathHindman)
The PSP2. I heard rumors years ago that a successor to the PSP was underway, but for all the info and media I can find from Sony, they’ve never released a second handheld system. I think a second Sony handheld could be an amazing success if the company really gets behind it. I just hope they didn’t cancel the project entirely, because they’ve gone completely silent on it.
Jason Dunning (@Jasonad21)
I’m really just hoping for some big PlayStation Vita announcements. I’m dangerously close to selling my Vita (mainly because most games I want are available on PS4 and PS3), so if there’s nothing to look forward to in 2015, then I have no reason to hold onto it.
Mark Labbe (@Markymark255)
I’d like to see some new Crash Bandicoot games, or maybe even a sequel to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
Paulmichael Contreras (@T3mpr1x)
I would love to see a beta for No Man’s Sky announced for early 2015. Have Sony grant access to all PS+ members. I have not been this hyped for a game since the original LittleBigPlanet.
Zarmena Khan (@Zarmena)
A Mafia 3 game set in the same time period as Mafia 2, and in an equally gorgeous city. I know it’s not going to happen, but still.
