Are you a fan of Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer? If so, you’ll be glad to know that Mass Effect 4, or whatever BioWare decides to call the next Mass Effect for now-gen consoles, will have an “online component.”
This was revealed by Senior Development Director Chris Wynn over on Twitter, where he mentioned the following:
Things are getting real now and I need an excellent Producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect – http://t.co/L4G3OBAn87
— Chris Wynn (@The1Wynn) February 11, 2015
The actual job ad is seeking people to:
Create and champion the vision of the multi-player, connected experiences and online features of the game which respects the project leadership goals and be accountable for the quality targets and the results achieved.
Will Mass Effect 4 multiplayer be the same as ME3? We don’t know for sure. Speaking as someone who’s a fan of BioWare’s ME3 multiplayer component, I hope the studio builds on it and doesn’t shoehorn a competitive multiplayer for the sake of it.
Are you looking forward to ME4’s multiplayer or do you think it’s a needless feature that will diulte the single-player experience?
