The Japanese game industry has been in the thoughts of many gamers for quite a while. The main argument is that while Western titles have significantly progressed throughout the years, Japanese titles pale in comparison.
At today’s Dead Rising 2 event at Tokyo Game Show, Capcom’s own Keiji Inafune (producer on Dead Rising) spoke on the state of the Japan gaming industry.
“Personally when I looked around [at] all the different games at the TGS floor. I said ‘Man, Japan is over. We’re done. Our game industry is finished.’”
However, he believes that the Japanese games Capcom is bringing out are “kick ass”. Many others believe these words spoken by Inafune, as most attendees at this year’s TGS have agreed with him.
