Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games have announced that Porsche will return to the racing-sim world in Assetto Corsa, and will be available as premium DLC. Alongside releasing the trailer above, the developer wrote:
The close partnership extends to the creation of 2 DLC packs that will deliver the most accurate Porsche experience for fans and motorsport enthusiasts worldwide across a variety of classic and new Porsche models alongside the provision of customized software for virtual experiences worldwide at selected Porsche dealer and race centers.
Following two delays, Assetto Corsa is scheduled to launch on August 26 in Europe and August 30 in North America for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The developer said that it wants to “ensure the console release delivers the most polished experience for simulation racing fans.” The game is expected to run at 1080p/60fps on the PS4 and comes with the following features among others:
- Over 90 high-performance cars, including the Team Lotus 98T, the Pagani Zonda R, the Ferrari LaFerrari, the Mercedes C9 and the McLaren 650S GT3
- 27 different track configurations, from famed courses such as Silverstone Circuit, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Autodromo Nazionale Monza, and Nürburgring-Nordschleife
- Single and Multiplayer racing modes, with customizable Race Weekends, preset Challenges or full-scale Career Mode
