Electronic Art has today unveiled the top 50 FIFA 17 player rankings and for the first time in seven long, long years, Lionel Messi is no longer the highest-ranked player in EA Sports’ soccer simulator.
Supplanting the Barcelona playmaker as No. 1 is Cristiano Ronaldo, who so often competes with Messi for the coveted FIFA Ballon d’Or year in, year out, among other accolades. In terms of those player rankings, you’ll be able to get the comprehensive breakdown via FIFA‘s site — cover star Marco Reus, for instance, checks in with 88 stat value.
Come September 27, these stats represent FIFA 17‘s built-in stats; however, given the dynamic nature of the FIFA Ultimate Team mode, expect those rankings to change slightly as the season progresses.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo – 94
2. Lionel Messi – 93
3. Neymar – 92
4. Luis Suárez – 92
5. Manuel Neuer – 92
6. Gareth Bale – 90
7. Zlatan Ibrahimović – 90
8. Jérôme Boateng – 90
9. Robert Lewandowski – 90
10. David De Gea – 90
FIFA 17 is slated to launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on September 27 in North America. It’ll then expand worldwide on September 29.
