Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date Predictions

After a short unintentional hiatus, Now Loading is back for 2018. Thankfully, the wait wasn’t as long as fans that have been waiting for solid information on the Final Fantasy VII Remake, which was announced way back at E3 2015. While many games are announced at E3 and come out a year or two later, it’s been nearly three years without any substantial news or information.

That’s why the question we posed in this week’s Now Loading was “Final Fantasy VII Remake has been back in the news this past week. When do you think the E3 2015 surprise will actually come out?”

When Will the Final Fantasy VII Remake Release?

I don't expect to see it until at least late 2019. But personally, I wouldn't be bothered if they took another five years to complete it. All that matters is that they do it, and they do it right. Plus, I still need time to finish Final Fantasy XV anyway...

I would hope we get episode 1 at least this year, but probably look at middle of 2019 sadly.

I think it will be 2019 at the earliest. The real question is which will release first, FFVII or Kingdom Hearts III?

Late 2019 at the earliest, I imagine. This seems to be much more than your typical HD remake, so I'm willing to wait it out.

A lot depends on if they still plan on releasing it episodically (which I actually am all for since who has the time to finish a huge role-playing game in a short timespan?), but I don't believe we'll see any part of it in 2018. I'll be optimistic and say that we'll get the first of the (three?) episodes in 2019, and that it finally wraps up production in 2020.
