Video games developers tend to strive for unique offerings, and each new title we see places its own unique stamp on the industry. A Plague Tale: Innocence is no exception. Created by French development team Asobo Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive it is an adventure game set in a medieval, war-torn France where the populace is suffering from a disease spread by rats.
Basically, it is not a cheerful time. The overall atmosphere seems creepy and scary enough to lend some appropriate ambiance to what may be pretty interesting survival mechanics. The latest A Plague Tale: Innocence gameplay video focuses on this very aspect.
A Plague Tale: Innocence was showcased during the E3 2018. In the gamescom 2018 trailer, you play as Amicia. She has to team up with her brother, Hugo, to cross a battlefield filled with corpses and swarming with deadly rats. Light and fire play an important role in this segment, and as using both effectively are needed to stay alive.

This particular segment shows that A Plague Tale: Innocence means business. Sure, it may be a bit rough around the edges, but it seems to have tremendous potential and, above all, a unique atmosphere.
