Does Bethesda have something up its sleeve? Some internet sleuths discovered a recent trademark filed by parent company ZeniMax for something called “Redfall.” While the trademark was filed on September 10, 2018, Reddit users only recently discovered it. The filing is for “computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles.”
While a trademark could ultimately amount to a whole lot of nothing, that doesn’t mean the internet hasn’t been speculating. Right now, most people have been thinking this might relate to the newest The Elder Scrolls game, which was just revealed at E3 2018. However, as we know nothing of it outside of the fact it exists, there really isn’t much to go off of. Although, The Elder Scrolls VI: Redfall does have a nice ring to it.
It may be a while before we see if “Redfall” amounts to anything. Bethesda is getting ready to release Fallout: 76 on November 14, 2018. In addition, it finally confirmed the existence of its long-rumored title Starfield, the first new IP from Bethesda Game Studios in 25 years.
What do you think of all of this? Do you think “Redfall” will be the name of the newest The Elder Scrolls game? Or is this speculation all for nothing?
