Rumors popped up over the weekend that Heavy Rain, Detroit: Become Human developer Quantic Dream is working on a Star Wars project.
Known insider Tom Henderson, who has an excellent track record when it comes to leaks, published the following tweet:

Henderson then teased his followers by specifically “liking” tweets that asked him if he was hinting at a Quantic Dream Star Wars project.
According to Video Games Chronicle, before Henderson’s tweet made rounds over the weekend, it was French YouTuber Gautoz who “leaked” the project. Gautoz talked about Quantic Dream’s take on Star Wars in a video published on September 16th.
After Electronic Arts’ Star Wars exclusivity ended, Lucasfilm announced that it was open to pitches from other game developers and has already partnered with Ubisoft since. Star Wars is quite a departure from what we’re used to seeing from Quantic Dream, but the publisher has said on numerous occasions that it’s now looking to take more creative risks independently going forward.
Quantic Dream is working on multiple projects at the moment. In June, the company was looking for developers with prior experience in competitive games and video game economies. We know Quantic Dream is working on AAA as well as smaller projects, but it’s unclear if any of the advertised job opportunities are for the rumored Star Wars game.
Given Henderson’s record, we doubt he’d tweet the image above without a good reason, but still, take everything with a grain of salt until there’s an official confirmation.
