We finally have some glimmer of hope that God of War Ragnarok release date announcement and gameplay reveal is coming soon. A relatively new insider, who goes by the name The Snitch, has teased an announcement on Thursday, June 30th. Considering The Snitch has a flawless track record thus far and the recent teases from Santa Monica Studio’s Cory Barlog, we have reason to believe that a State of Play might be happening next Thursday.

The gif in the tweet above displays binary for 30th. Another trusted insider Tom Henderson has since lent credence to theories of a June 30th reveal. This falls in line with previous reports of Sony gearing up for another State of Play event by the end of June, and it also corroborates a report by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who claimed to have heard that God of War Ragnarok is still slated for release in 2022 and Santa Monica Studio will be putting rumors of another delay to rest soon.
It looks like we have our date for some God of War announcements.

Considering we haven’t seen God of War Ragnarok in action yet, we’re almost positive that a dedicated State of Play is coming. June 30th is a Thursday, to top it off, and those are usually the days Sony chooses to hold State of Play events.
If true, next week is going to be pretty busy for Sony as it’s also set to unveil a new line of gaming monitors and headsets by INZONE.
In other news, it looks like PS Plus Extra and Premium have already lost at least four games without a warning, and former Days Gone and The Last of Us devs have announced a new game.
