Resident Evil 6 Review (PS3)

After Resident Evil 5, the game’s producer Jun Takeuchi admitted that for Resident Evil 6, the franchise would require a “completely new system”. And, although Takeuchi turned over the reigns to Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, it’s clear that Resident Evil 6 is unlike anything we’ve seen from the storied franchise before. After a number of anxiety-filled hours, I can say that’s not necessarily a good thing.…

  • Leon's campaign is excellent, down to roots Resident Evil.
  • Graphics, particularly lighting and shadows are stellar.
  • Four campaigns to play through in total.
  • Ustanak is awesome, frightening, and unstoppable.
  • Drop in co-op for up to four players at times.
  • Almost too much content, diluting the experience.
  • I wish there was only Leon's campaign, with more content.
  • Convoluted story that isn't explained well.
  • New C-virus enemies are worst in series.
  • Over reliance on Quick Time Events for even the most menial tasks.
  • Almost zero exploration or puzzles.
  • Focus, Capcom. Focus. Give fans Resident Evil, not Call of Duty.
