Sony’s pretty much just confirmed rumors of new PS5 headsets and monitors by INZONE. Known insider Tom Henderson revealed a couple of weeks ago that Sony was set to unveil new hardware by the end of June. This was followed by a report from 91mobiles in which insider Steve Hemmerstoffer claimed that Sony and INZONE are teaming up to release three new gaming headsets. Henderson corroborated Hemmerstoffer’s report, and added that INZONE is also making two “perfect for PS5” gaming monitors.

The tweet above all but confirms that Henderson and Hemmerstoffer are correct. The event will be livestreamed on Tuesday, June 28th, at 5 pm ET / 2 pm ET. For all other time zones, use this converter.
Interestingly, Henderson claims that Sony will not be unveiling the rumored new PS5 Pro controller at this event. What’s more is that his sources say that next week’s event will also announce a new Sony x Valorant partnership. Unfortunately, however, Henderson has been told that this partnership doesn’t mean Valorant is coming to the PS5. At least not yet. He’s of the view that it’ll be a case of Sony’s new INZONE lineup being an official Valorant partner or something along those lines.
I also asked if this means if Valorant is coming to PS5 and was told no (or at least not announced at the event), so I’m assuming this is more of an “INZONE is the official headset/monitors for Valorant” or whatever.

So no State of Play, then!
In other news, it looks like Ghost of Tsushima sequel will have multiplayer at launch, and Johnny Cage voice actor might be teasing a Mortal Kombat 12 reveal.
