A free PS Plus online multiplayer weekend has been revealed for December 10-11, 2022. Those who don’t have a PlayStation Plus membership will be able to sample multiplayer modes in their PS5 and PS4 games for free over the two days.
When does the Free PS Plus Online Multiplayer Weekend begin?
The free PS Plus online multiplayer weekend will begin at some point on December 10, 2022, although an exact time hasn’t been confirmed. The free multiplayer PlayStation weekends usually begin at 12:01 AM local time. The weekend is expected to finish at 11:59 PM local time, but again, this hasn’t been confirmed.
Throughout the weekend, all multiplayer modes that would usually require a PlayStation Plus subscription to access will be available for all players regardless of whether they have a subscription or not. This includes the recently released games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and NBA 2K23, as well as popular ongoing live-service games like GTA Online.
Players without a PS Plus membership will not be able to download the free PlayStation Plus Essential games during the Online Multiplayer Weekend. This means you will still need a membership to grab Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, Biomutant, and Divine Knockout. You will also need a membership to be able to access any of the games in PS Plus Extra or Premium.
