Would ya look at that; Sony wasn’t kidding when it said the PS5 stock shortage is over. For the first time in over two years, the console is actually available to purchase on Amazon without an invite system, wait lists, or bot fights.
Sony kicked off the new year with plenty of PS5 stock
Earlier this week, Sony announced that anyone who wants to buy a PS5 should now be able to buy one. Naturally, folks flocked to Amazon to see just how true this statement is. When a Redditor pointed out that God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundles are now available on the online retail giant without all the hoops to jump through, I actually waited to see how long that lasts because I was sure they were going to disappear. Well, I am pleased to inform our readers that I was wrong.
At the time of this writing, you can still purchase the God of War Ragnarok PS5 bundle on Amazon, and they’ve been available for a good 15+ hours now. Oddly, though, the standard PS5 still displays the “available by invitation” message, but that should change soon. Outside of Amazon, players have reported that they’ve spotted the consoles at retailers and have been able to purchase without hassle. Indeed, PlayStation LifeStyle’s own staff have been spotting them out in the wild for the first time.
Good things are happening!
