Fallout: New Vegas DLC Is More Lonesome Than You Think

Bethesda is a developer that will continue to support its games with DLC, with some DLC releasing after the game is a year old. Fallout 3 had a total of five expansion packs that drastically extended playtime and even added an alternate ending to the main storyline. Unfortunately, the release of the DLC on the PS3 was delayed for several months. Similarly, the release of DLC for Fallout: New Vegas has been marred by the 3 week shut down of the PSN, and today it has hit another speed bump.

The Fallout: New Vegas “Lonesome Roads” DLC has been delayed for an unspecified amount of time. Jason Bergman, senior producer, released a statement today saying,

Due to circumstances beyond our control, ‘Lonesome Road’ won’t be out this month. This isn’t due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date. We don’t have an exact date yet, but we’re working to get it out as quickly as possible. We’ll be announcing the final date, along with a couple of other interesting FNV-related items in the near future.

“Lonesome Roads” will have the protagonist assisting another courier by the name of Ulysses. If you remember from the main storyline, there was a courier hired to deliver the platinum chip who refused to finish the job and vanished. Ulysses was the courier mentioned.
