Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer

Red Dead Redemption 2 Launch Trailer Shows Off a Major Conflict

As promised, Rockstar Games released the launch trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 18, 2018. This time around, it is focused more on the plot of the game. It used a quick sizzle reel to highlight the story and major characters, with a few action scenes sprinkled throughout.

Let’s watch.

The gang relationship takes the forefront in this trailer, as Arthur Morgan seems to want out of this criminal lifestyle. He’s frustrated, as he feels constantly pushed into taking on “one more big score.” As he says in the trailer, “There’s always a goddamn train.” When asked, “What about loyalty?” Morgan turns to say he’s “loyal to what matters.” We also get some teasers regarding some core conflicts, with someone wanting him dead (all bounties aside).

As predicted, this launch trailer lacks the depth we’ve seen in previous promotional Red Dead Redemption 2 content. At only one minute long, it’s by far the shortest look at gameplay we’ve received. As opposed to the first and second gameplay trailers, this video serves as a general, quick overview of what will be driving your over sixty hours of gameplay.

Red Dead Redemption 2 arrives on October 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Red Dead Online will arrive shortly after and be available to PS4 players thirty days before everyone else. Stay tuned for when the beta launches in November 2018.
